Mizuno Contendor Cordura - Agave Green/VintageKhaki/V.Orange

The Contender was originally released in 1995, with design ideas from Mizuno founder Rhiachi Mizuno. This was a lightweight style characterised by stability and support, made for novice runners looking for a shoe with good cushioning that was suitable for both on- and off-road running.

For the upper, the original Contender combined mesh with suede reinforcements for a durable construction while maintaining maximum comfort. The midsole consists of single-density EVA foam and Mizuno's Transpower technology in the heel, a highly responsive foam insert that also provides shock absorption and extra cushioning. The outsole uses a new one-piece solid rubber with forefoot flex grooves for a smoother transition from heel to toe.

The 90s classic look and the balanced way canvas mesh and premium suede are interspersed create a unique blend between a casual feel and the sporty origins of this silhouette. The colourway is predominantly tonal with slight contrasts and subtle accents or contrasting sole elements.
